Day 1
Arrive at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, where a representative welcomes you and transfers you to your Srinagar hotel. After settling in, head out for a relaxed city tour beginning with Pari Mahal, offering wide views of the valley. Continue to Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, two classic Mughal gardens known for their fountains, manicured lawns and views of Dal Lake. Later, visit Shankaracharya Temple perched on a hilltop, followed by some peaceful time near Dal Lake before you return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Start the morning with a scenic drive to Sonamarg. Once there, you will be dropped at the pony stand, from where you may hire a pony (optional) to reach the Thajiwas Glacier, surrounded by pine trees and icy pathways. Spend time enjoying the cool surroundings before visiting areas near Zero Point along the high-altitude route. After taking in riverside views and dramatic landscapes, drive back to Srinagar for the night.
After breakfast, travel to the Gulmarg Union Cab Stand for a day filled with beautiful views and activities. From the stand, move ahead to the famous Gulmarg Golf Course and then make your way towards the Gondola boarding point. Enjoy the Gondola ride up to Phase 1 or Phase 2 (tickets extra) for sweeping Himalayan views. Seasonal snow activities such as sledging or skiing can also be enjoyed here. Return to the cab stand later and drive back to Srinagar for your overnight stay.
Check out from your hotel and begin your drive towards Pahalgam. The journey passes through stretches of saffron fields and fruit orchards. Upon reaching the Pahalgam Union Cab Stand, hire a local cab on your own to visit Aru Valley, Baisaran Valley and Betaab Valley, each offering a mix of greenery, open landscapes and mountain backdrops. After completing the valley visits, return to the stand and proceed to your Pahalgam hotel for check-in and an easy evening.
After breakfast, check out and head back toward Srinagar. Midway, enjoy a calm Shikara ride on Dal Lake, passing by floating gardens and reflections of snow-clad mountains. Later, check in to your traditional houseboat. Spend the evening sipping kahwa on the deck, observing the gentle movements of the water, and taking in the charm of Kashmiri woodwork inside the houseboat. Overnight stay on the lake.
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and proceed to Srinagar airport for your departure. Carry with you warm memories of Kashmir’s lakes, gardens, valleys and mountains.
